Few individuals have a v-belt tension gauge, but it’s important to understand that proper tightness can be achieved using torque specifications.

The recommended torque is 7-8Nm. However, many tend to overtighten.

Before adjusting the star bolt, ensure that the component you’re adjusting (be it the PS pump, Alternator, or AC) is loose and can be moved freely by hand. Failure to do so could result in stripping the adjuster bolt.
